French Residency Collection

Château d’Orquevaux, France | Spring 2026

In the spring of 2026, I spent three extraordinary weeks living and painting at Château d’Orquevaux, nestled in the beautiful French countryside. It was a time of exploration, inspiration, and creative freedom. Away from the familiar rhythms of everyday life, I found myself slowing down, noticing more, and allowing the experience to lead me in unexpected directions. The changing light, lush blooms, expansive landscapes, and quiet moments all found their way into my work. Some paintings emerged as abstract impressions of nature, while others became more personal expressions of memory, movement, and emotion. Over those three weeks, I created 69 paintings—an intimate visual journal of my time there, each piece holding something of the atmosphere, beauty, and spirit of that experience. I’m delighted to share this collection of original works, created in France and inspired by a place and time I’ll always treasure.
